Easter 2014

This year was Blakes' first Easter. We started out with a Easter party with the Moeller side on April 11th. Grandpa and Grandma Moeller put candy as well as money in easter eggs.
Most the kids were on their own. Before we were set loose to find eggs, Grandma Moeller told everyone there are enough eggs for everyone to have 19. We weren't allowed to shake the eggs either. (to find the ones with quarters) and what we found was what we found. NO making sure everyone got the same amount of money or anything this year.

Blake was pretty happy with his loot. And we got it done pretty fast too! We ended the night with a campfire.
The following Saturday was Grammie Woods's and Abuela's Easter egg hunt. Since Abuela was up for the MoTab choir concert for Easter, she was the on that Initiated that we do one.
Blake liked the twizzlers mini pull n peels.
Since Abuela was up she finally got her new phone. And what better phone to get her then a Green iPhone! She finally joined the smart phone world! She likes that its green!
We dyed only about five dozen eggs.
We relaxed outside. It was such a nice day! and played lots of badmitton. I don't have pictures of that though since I was playing most of the time.
Here we are right before church on Easter Sunday. The plan was to not have me matching the boys. But it ended up that way. And I honestly don't mind. Micah tries to match his tie according to my outfit anyways so naturally it worked out. :) Emily made me a coral shirt but it didn't fit right. So I made do with the yellow cardigan. I found the matching ties for Blake and Micah at Tie One On. Best tie store ever! Micah loves the tie so I'm glad I picked that one and not the other one I was going to. After seeing it in person…it wasn't really him. We then stayed at home for the evening and I'm glad we did! We had Eric and Annamarie and the boys over and Melinda and Steve came with their little boy and Grandpa Moeller cooked a ham. Then for dessert, Leann and her boys came up with Lani and Ma'afu. It was a lot of fun. We introduced baseball to Elijah and Braeden.
It was a good Easter.

Spring Time

We hit spring a little later where we live then SL does. Our daffodils and hyasinths started to bloom right before easter. Bring on the warmer weather...

Then last Monday April 28th we woke up to about a inch or two or three of snow.
Pish. Utah weather.

Blake the Model

The family in our ward who have an online boutique like to have Blake be a model for them. His most recent modeling gig involved modeling shoes. Here are some photos I snatched from the sidelines. :)

He was so cute on the rocking horse. He has never sat on one before but when we placed him on it…he sat there and started rocking it back and forth. With this huge smile on his face like look at what I can do. The little entertainer. He was the happiest baby that day from the three that were models. The Lee's were loving it. The shoes are genuine leather and go on so easily. They are supposed to be hard to take off but Blake pulls those things off about as quick as I can get them on. I think it may be because I got a size bigger so they last longer. They sell for only $30 on Nola Jade. And while those Moccasins are cute…these are different styles. Wide so your baby's fat feet can comfortably wear them…and half the price! And plus they have a selection for boys and girls! :)

Ever find something so funny...

That you just have to share it with others? Well that happened to me once while I was browsing Facebook. Here is the photo.

I could not stop laughing at this photo. Even hours after I saw it. I laughed so hard I started to cry. I shared it with Micah and he didn't find it all that funny. So I shared it with my sister. And she didn't either. Oh well.

On the go

This kid started walking a little bit ago thanks to the help from Dad. (Dad teaches him all sorts of mobile things i.e. crawling, walking. Mom refuses. A)because she wants him to be itty bitty forever. And B)life will only get more crazy the more he moves around.)  But he will only walk with a walker.
He has gotten much better at walking with it lately. And he is also standing on his own. He can't get from sitting to standing without help. But he will get there shortly I'm sure.

Charmer

I can't tell you how many times a day I look at this kid and think to myself "your so stinkin' cute Blake!!!" It seems like everywhere we go I hear "oh my gosh look at how cute he is!" And while a little piece inside of me says "are people just saying that to be nice?" 98% of the time its kinda behind my back and I pretend to not hear them. I simply just think "I know he is a stinking cute kid!"

Church

So a little while ago. Probably a month and a half ago….we forgot Blake's binky at home. I noticed this in the church parking lot. It was one of those weeks where we were running behind so I didn't run back home for it. Side note. Blake's love life consists of strictly his mom and then his binky. If he has those two he is good. It has to be in that order though. There are days I don't let him have his binky for a while, and honestly I don't think he notices for a while. He does pretty good. Anyways…back to the story. So I figured if he started to fuss I'd just give in a pouch of food. You know…those go-go squeeze food pouches? Thats what I had in mind to help settle him down. So of course right as the Deacons were passing the bread during the Sacrament Blake started fussing. Naturally since he didn't have his binky for a while I knew that was why he was fussing. So instead of taking him out…I pulled out a food pouch, opened it up, and decided to 86 the bib. Figuring it might make him more fussy if I delayed giving him food longer. Well…he decided it would be fun to grab the pouch, at the bottom of it. Mind you, I had it in my hands squeezing it into his mouth. Well he didn't let go. He sqoze it so tight that it squirted literally ALL OVER his face….and I think he was so shocked and didn't know what to do, so he just kept on squeezing it. it ended up on his shirt, tie, me, onesie. What did I miss?
In the moment my mom ego totally got deflated…here I was with the cutest baby around…dressed like a little man. Who gets told by everyone that he is adorable. And he just squirted food all over himself. Micah looked over and just started laughing. Literally right after I got the water I grabbed Blake and we left for home. As I was walking out to the car I replayed the situation in my mind and couldn't help but laugh. It was funny really. He is 9 months old and doesn't know what he is doing squeezing the pouch. I got him home and layed him down to change his clothes and tell him.."this is why we can't take you anywhere nice Blake!" (My family is always telling me this. I am famous for spilling things.) Got him packed back in the car and back to church we went. And yes…I made sure to grab his binky this time. I think we missed a total of 10 minutes of church.
This kid sure knows how to keep me on my toes.

Time to play catch up

Sooooo now that Micah is done with school…and not using the computer everyday….its time to play catch up on my posts. Life is getting busier the more mobile Blake becomes…which makes it hard to do much catching up on my phone. When he is sleeping I have the everyday stuff I try to get done. When he falls asleep at night….blogging is the last thing on my mind. So expect a lot of posts to come. :)

Mommas boys syndrome just got more intense.
Fussy a lot

Worlds worst blogger

So I am the worst blogger. There are multiple times a month that I think "I should blog this!" But it never happens. Then Blake turns another month older and then post after post is about Blake's new developments. And then it's known I don't do updates of daily adventures and stuff. And then I feel like a failure at this I-want-to-keep-a-blog-so-it's-a-family-journal thing. And such is life. Life with a VELCRO baby. Yup! It's true. Karma does come back to bite you in the but. And then you wonder if it came back to bite you in the but ten fold. Because there is no possible way you could have been just as clingy, if not more then your baby is to you. And you look forward to bedtime so you can clean up those dinner dishes. And then you go to sleep and wake up multiple times during the night with a crying baby. Who wants to eat every few hours at night still. Even at 9 months old. And then in the morning he wakes up jabbering. And you can't help but wake up and suddenly everything is good. Because he is so happy and smiley. And jabbering. And life goes on. Day after day. The same routine. And all is well.

We have a 8 month old!

Blake is now 8 months old.
Seriously, where does time go?  Blake is currently…
wearing 9 month pants and 6 month shirts.
Eats anything and everything he can pick up. It makes sweeping easy! ;)
He is still attached at my hip but is getting better all the time.
 Crawling with his arms still.
Loves to rock back and forth on all fours. Can pull legs along for one or two scoots but gives up and goes back to dragging them.
One smart little cookie.
LOVES to knock over towers built out of anything possible.
Obsessed with playing with his diapers. (don't worry, clean ones only)
Looks at you mischievously before grabbing things new, as if to say "are you going to tell me no mom?"
Sleeping better at night again…finally…some nights.
Fights taking naps like its no ones business.
Will stop what ever he is doing if you start calling someone on FaceTime or talk on the phone, only to either smile at his own cute face, or smile at you as if saying "wait you can talk on that?"
We started teaching him to stand on his own with support and he is getting better all the time. I still don't think he will be walking by 10 months old like his dad. But we shall see.
Has two teeth, barely, but hey they are there!
And getting more adorable by the day.

He got his first modeling gig today. A friend is opening her own online boutique and asked if Blake could model binki clips and bibs! Yes, everyone thinks he is just that adorable. And who couldn't agree. :) Everywhere I go whether its to the store, where they know us quite well, or to the mall. I get "He is such a cute baby" so often! I used to think people were just kindly saying that but I firmly believe they mean it now. :)

Church ball talk

So tonight at church ball I was talking to a little girl in our ward whose mom is my visiting teacher and Micah used to home teach them. This family is the cutest family with the best behaved kids! And smart too! The conversation goes as follows.

Me: so E do you have a crush in your primary class?
E: no all the boys are ANNOYING!
Me: what about at school
E: (looks up and thinks) nope. What about you? Do you have a crush at school?
M: no I don't go to school. Micah's my crush.
E: ya because you married him.
M : (laughing)
E: (gasps) Blake's my crush!  He's so cute. His big eyes!
M: ya he is pretty cute huh.

Later while Micah and I were driving home I told Micah about the conversation between E and me.)
Micah: (laughs) ya that family is obsessed with Blake. When E came ice fishing with us once she was in the tent watchig the camera and she said "Blake is so cute! When I look at his eyes I just melt!"

Hahahahaha she is like 9 years old. Too bad she isn't a little younger. I would have them do an arranged marriage. :)

Seven Months.

Yup. Seven months! I can hardly believe it myself. This kid is getting more fun by the day. From the little things he does to watching him developmentally. It's so fun.  Micah say down with him one morning and got him to start army crawling and has been doing it ever since. He is rocking back and forth on all fours and even got himself up on his toes today. He has been eating solids twice a day but this weekend started eating then at lunch time too. So far he eats applesauce, bananas, peaches, mangos, sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, and peas. So far we haven't found a food we don't like...and hopefully it stays that way. If we have something he wants, but we don't want him to have it. Better get it out of reach completely. Blake will watch were you out it (I.e. Under a pillow.) move the item the desired object is under and will grab it. He is so curious to see what's over the edge of the bed. He will not hold still for a diaper changing. This means that I already have to hold him down with my legs. He started to (knock on wood) finally wake up twice a night to eat. Usually about 4am and 6am. For some reason after the first wake up, he struggles to stay asleep for long. But he falls back asleep till 8 anyways. I have been better at putting him back in bed after he is done eating and he doesn't mind at all. He is getting much better about going to dad but still prefers mom. He loves his walker and scoots around like crazy in it. He still hates getting in his car seat but loves long car rides and doesn't mind short ones as long as he is fed. He is wearing 9 month pants because I finally broke down and bought some. I found a killer deal on them and bout a few other items as well. He started to smile more and more with his tounge and seems quite obsessed. :) I fear the day he really fully becomes mobile because I just know he will keep me on my feet. My family thinks so to. He still isn't very vocal but goes through stages where he jabbers a lot then sops for awhile. We love him to death and can't remember when life was going round without him in the center of our lives.
