Better Late then Never

So here it is four and a half months after we got married and I am just getting around to starting a blog. I am a slacker. I guess a good place to start out is telling a little about ourselves. We met back at the beginning of October 2011. Micahs' cousin lined us up on a blind date. He kept on bugging both of us to go out with each other. We both kept on saying no not right now, because we were hoping it was going to work out with the person we had been interested in and sorta dating (if you could call it that at least for me) at the time. So finally I gave up on the other person and was perfectly content being single for a while. I just finished helping my mom plan another wedding/wedding dinner for another brother for the second summer in a row. I wasn't at all interested in dating anyone let alone someone who is a prospect for marriage. I mean lets face it, you marry who you date right? Riley had finally quite asking me about going out with his cousin. I figured I was in the clear and had given him enough no's that he would give up. I should give a little background on his cousin. I was in the singles ward with Riley G. and was on FHE committee with him. He is my brother 'Rileys age and they attended jr high and high school together. I knew who Riley Gardner was but never really talked to him until we were on the committee together. Well right after I had decided life was good being single Riley asked me yet again if I would go out with his cousin. I agreed. Figuring it would only be one . date. After all, very rarely, did blind dates go past one date for me. We went out on our first date Oct. 8th 2011. We doubled with Riley and my friend and went to Cornbellys. Its a "Fall Festivity" Thanksgiving Point puts on for a while every Fall. We went and did a corn maze and some other activities. It was actually a fun date. We ended up splitting up from Sara and Riley in the corn maze but it was fun to get to know Micah better. Well I must had done something right because the next night Micah texted me and we talked every day after that. I don't think we went a day from the night of our first date on from talking to each other. On our second date Micah took me up to Park City and showed me the Jewelry store he works for and we then went into Midway and went to this "disappearing road" and then went to a lookout point over the valley and talked for a long time. It was a great date. Well we eventually went on another date and another and eventually got engaged and then married. We got engaged February 25th 2012 and Married July 13th 2012 in the Mt. Timpanogos LDS Temple for Time and All Eternity. I will save the engagement story for another post. It is a good story. We are currently living in Midway Utah in the apartment attached to his parents house. Micah currently works full time for Park City Jewelers as a designer and jeweler. (yes, I am lucky, he made my wedding ring.) And loves it. He is also currently going to school part time working on his bachelors in Business. He hopes to be able to help take over the business once the current owner retires and gives it to his son. (the owners son and Micah are good friends and have been since they were young.) We will see where life takes us though. I am currently training to be a pharmacy tech under Micahs' dad in Heber at Days Market. I am loving that. It is fun to be behind the counter instead of picking up the prescription. All though I do want to do hair, it is currently not possible and worth while to put my money into a salon renting a booth when we still are not for certain, where we will end up eventually. All though we would like to stay in the Heber Valley. We plan on eventually owning a house that I can have a salon in one day to make it possible for me to do hair full time or as needed. Three months after we were married we found out we were pregnant. We honestly couldn't be happier. I was on birth control but was feeling depressed and my insurance policy doesn't cover much birth control options so we opted to go off it and trust in Heavenly Father that we would end up pregnant when we were supposed to. We both love kids and couldn't wait for the day to start a family. We are so excited for it to be happening so fast for us. A lot of people I know are struggling with infertility for miscarrying a lot that I personally was shocked it happened the next month for us. I am currently 12 weeks along and am due June 16th 2013. We cannot wait. We are hoping for a boy but will take either. We have names picked out all ready and had one for a boy before we were even married. We have chosen Blake if its a boy. It is Micahs' middle name and his moms maiden name. If its a girl we are going to name her Bostyn. Micah insists that Boston is a girl name and I disagree. I finally told him if we are going to name our girl Bostyn we have to spell it with a "tyn" to make it girly. Luckily Micah really liked it spelled that way and so it will be. Well I think that is a pretty good post for our first one. I will try to keep up on this but make no promises! ;)
